Urt, 30 minutes from Hossegor, 20 minutes from Bayonne ... push the kilometers a little more to find yourself facing the Adour. When you arrive, with a view of the peaceful waters of the river, you can easily park your car in the restaurant's large car park, and you already know that you have made the most of your few extra kilometers ...

The restaurant room is cozy, extremely warm with its stone walls, wooden tables and chairs and fireplace. Sylvie Lacroix and chef Philippe Lopez took over La Galupe in July 2019. They succeed Christian Parra (2 stars in the Michelin guide) who ran La Galupe for 30 years before becoming the café-restaurant-grocery-bookstore run by Didier Periz. Philippe Lopez is therefore leaving the Cuisine du Café du Musée in Bayonne after 7 years for this new challenge.

Sylvie and Philippe modernized the restaurant and the concept. The bar has been redone, as has the decoration. In the dining room, the tables are all made of wood and made to measure by the local company Eïk Design, ready to receive 70 place settings at each service. They offer bistronomic cuisine and an event venue where the room is transformed into artistic exhibitions or jazz concerts several times a month. The room can also be rented for any private event. In spring and summer, the outdoor terrace opens up with tables facing the Adour.
